TEXTURE AND COLOURS

This minimalist basket, designed by Jasper Morrison, showcases a textured surface granulation and a rich black tone which enhances the object’s simple shape, all the while adding a touch of elegance.

Granulation is a specific finish applied to the metal surface, which reinterprets an ancient goldsmithing technique with an industrial twist. The arrangement of the granules follows a geometric order generated by the Fibonacci sequence, named after the Italian mathematician who identified the numerical code behind the Golden Ratio, one of the main principles that governs shapes in nature. Enriched by its granulation, this round basket is further enhanced by the colour black.

Made in Stainless Steel, coated in epoxy resin with relief decoration.
